Chief Executive Officer

Charla joined La Pine Community Health Center in December, 2011 and has managed and directed facilities in the medical field since 1987. When she began working for Federally Qualified Health Centers in 2003, she discovered quickly that this was the work that she had been preparing for: using her skills to help those that need health care but could not afford it-the "underserved." In 2008 Charla graduated from the inaugural program for "Community Health Center Leadership" at the University of Washington. In 2011 she completed the "Health Information Professional Certification Program" which included: Quality Management, Change Concepts and Lean/Six Sigma. With her extensive background in business management, quality improvement and Federally Qualified Health Centers, Charla has brought valuable experience to the La Pine Community Health Center, La Pine and its surrounding communities.

 

Chief Operating Officer

Marie Manes, COO, La Pine Community Health CenterMarie Manes

Marie has worked for La Pine Community Health Center since June of 2009. She continues to gain knowledge of business management within health care and will receive a BS in Healthcare Administration in October, 2016. She enjoys working with her staff as well as the patients. Marie has worked in the healthcare field since 1993 and looks forward to many more years in the same field. Marie enjoys spending time with her family and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities.

 

Medical Support Manager

Julie Hannaford, Medical Support Manager, La Pine Community Health Center

Julie Hannaford, CMA

Julie joined La Pine Community Health Center as a receptionist in September, 2006. She then chose to become a Medical Assistant and through the years worked for and completed the National Certification Medical Assistant program to become a Certified Medical Assistant through in September, 2015. Julie became the Lead Medical Assistant at the La Pine site in February, 2016 then applied for and was selected to be the Medical Support Manager in September, 2016. Julie enjoys spending time in the La Pine area with her family and friends.

 

Clinic Manager

April Robinson, Clinic Manager, La Pine Community Health Center

April Robinson

April moved to Central Oregon from the Portland area with her husband in 2008 then joined the La Pine Community Health Center in 2010 as a medical receptionist. Although new to the medical field, April felt that this was her calling. April became the Lead Receptionist in February, 2015 and spent a great deal of time organizing the processes which improved efficiencies and flow throughout the organization. In September, 2016 April was selected to be the Clinic Manager for LCHC's satellite sites in Sunriver, Gilchrist and Christmas Valley. April enjoys working with patients and employees in each of these communities in Central and Eastern Oregon. April spends time with her husband and two daughters enjoying the outdoor activities offered in this area and has found La Pine a great place to live.

 

Billing Manager

Tracy Read, Billing Manager, La Pine Community Health Center

Tracy Read

Tracy joined La Pine Community Health Center in February 2014 and has lived in La Pine since 2003. She completed her CPC training and apprenticeship last year. Prior to that Tracy worked as a legal assistant in Des Moines, Iowa. She loves the small town feel and sense of community here in La Pine and spends her spare time enjoying the great Central Oregon outdoors with her family and friends. "If I had to choose the one thing that made us feel welcome, it would be that everyone we met in the community made us feel at home right from the start. That's essential when transplanting two teenagers." Tracy looks forward to expanding on her medical office knowledge and is excited to be a part of our growing, dedicated team.

 

Outreach Manager

Shelly McKittrick, Outreach Manager, La Pine Community Health Center

Shelly McKittrick

Shelly has lived in Central Oregon since 1991, and she moved to La Pine in 2001. She was an office manager of a vacation rental company for nine years before entering into health care. In 2005 Shelly started working in the medical records department at the formerly owned La Pine Community Clinic. Shelly has endured through all of the changes to what we know now as the La Pine Community Health Center. In 2012 she took on a new position as an Outreach Worker. Four years later she is now the Outreach Manager overseeing an outreach staff that serves five locations. Shelly has enjoyed volunteering throughout the years with the Smart Reader program and being a leader in Celebrate Recovery. She is actively serving as a leader in her church's youth ministry. Her busy family participates in many sports and loves to go hunting. Shelly and her husband see themselves raising their children and growing old together in La Pine.
