Meet the Board
La Pine Community Health Center counts on the expertise and guidance of its Board of Directors who set policy, hire and supervise the CEO, as well as provide valuable insight into the needs of the community. Our bylaws require that the Board be representative of those we serve in our community, helping to assure that our care and services are relevant to those we serve.

President
Dave joined the La Pine Community Health Center Board of Directors in November 2012. Â Since retiring in 2005, Dave has lived in La Pine and works as a handyman in the Bend-La Pine area on a part-time basis. Â He retired twice after spending 20 years in the tire business and ten years with a big box store. Â He is now a member of the High Lakes Christian Church and he and his wife lead a Life Group in their home. Â He is also a member of the local Dutch Oven Group. Â During the summer, he and his wife like to camp and explore Oregon in their RV, and in the winter, they love to snowshoe. With extra leisure time, Dave plays in his shop making sawdust, works in the yard and makes yard art.

Vice President
Linda is a retired hairdresser and has lived in La Pine for more than 30 years. She has served in many volunteer roles in the La Pine Community, including the St. Vincent de Paul Board of Directors, Ford Foundation, La Pine Chamber of Commerce and Frontier Days Association. Linda is excited to be part of the future growth of La Pine Community Health Center and looks forward to seeing new services added for the community.

Secretary
Ryan is a Minnesota native who has lived in Central Oregon since 2018.  He works as a Data Scientist/ Analyst and has worked in the healthcare industry for more than nine years.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Math and a master’s in applied Math & Statistics (Data Science).  He enjoys woodworking, spending time with his dogs and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Treasurer
Mary retired from Liberty Mutual, after a great 41-year career in various management and continuous improvement positions within their Commercial Underwriting Department. She and her husband moved to La Pine in 2018 to pursue his dream of living in the High Desert, and they enjoy kayaking, biking and many other outdoor activities. All their family still live in the Portland Metro area, including their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and they visit them often.
Her goal in retirement is to stay active and to strive to be a blessing to others. Mary currently leads a life group with her husband, at High Lakes Christian Church as well as leading on their Worship Team. Additionally, she is using her chorale and piano accompaniment experience to lead Amazing Grace Home School Enrichments Music program. She has always been interested in the medical field and is excited to use her business experience on our Board of Directors.

Christie retired from her career as a Neo Natal Respiratory Therapist in Portland Oregon. She has enjoyed assisting children with serious respiratory functions. In 2010, she received the “Women Making a Difference” award of recognition in California, for her ultimate perseverance of selfless service. Christie was an advocate for a core service emergency protocol upgrade in the United States.

She continues her passion for helping others by coaching kids in wheelchairs to compete in wheelchair sports. Christie was just appointed by Governor Kotek as a Commissioner to the Oregon Disabilities Commission. This position has introduced her to a plethora of Advisory Boards and Councils and is excited to collaborate on goals to bring more services to our community with the inclusion of all people. Christie’s mantra in life is: “Helping to be a voice for those unable to speak” ~” Nothing will change until a voice first suggests it”.

Ethel holds a business degree from the University of Phoenix and retired in 2023 from managing St Vincent de Paul Social Services in La Pine. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the La Pine Chamber of Commerce and Frontier Days Association. In addition, she is affiliated with the Sunriver Rotary, La Pine Lion’s Club, Moose Lodge and American Legion. She supports the growth and expansion of La Pine Community Health Center services and is honored to be part of the team.

Pamela Perrine retired from the Federal Government working primarily in Human Resources, for which she holds a master’s degree. She enjoyed working in Human Resources because she liked helping people find jobs and progress in their careers. Her position as Board Member enables her to continue that passion of helping others by supporting La Pine Community Health Centers efforts to reach community members that need care.

Pamela has either donated or participated with other organizations in La Pine such as the library, grange, senior center, COVA, Red Cross, American Legion, and other local organizations. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, canning, quilting, knitting, machine embroidery, weaving, and felting. Pamela and her family have moved throughout their careers all over the US and are glad to call La Pine home.

Relinda joined the La Pine Community Health Center Board of Directors in December 2019 to represent the Christmas Valley community. Â She has experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and firefighter. Â Relinda and her husband worked for the Kampgrounds of America (KOA) for 10 years, traveling through Oregon, California, New Mexico, Nevada and Washington.

Rick graduated in Drain, OR and went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1979.  He attended the University of Oregon from 1980 to 1982 where he studied community service and public affairs.  Rick also studied at Portland State University from 1989 to 1992 where he earned a master’s degree in public affairs.  He worked for the Social Security Administration from 1985 to 2004 as a Claims Representative and is now retired.

Tammy has been part of the La Pine community for many years and previously co-owned Bancorp Insurance with her husband before passing the business onto their daughter and dipping their toes into retirement. Over the years, she has been a volunteer and leader with organizations such as La Pine Community Kitchen, Toastmasters Club, La Pine Advisory School Board, The Great Start Pre-School Board, the La Pine Community CAT Team, La Pine Chamber of Commerce, Frontier Days, and Cycle Oregon.

Tammy is passionate about supporting our community and the people who live and work here. Due to her years of owning Bancorp, she has a great understanding of the role that health insurance plays in the healthcare decisions that individuals make, and she enjoys utilizing that knowledge to contribute to La Pine Community Health Center.
